Pubs all over the UK have faced many challenges since we were afflicted with Covid, and the ones in the City of London have been no exception. Tim's talk will cover some of the City's pubs and will, he hopes, prompt you to visit at least one of them soon. Bluntly, it's a case of "use it or lose it".
Tim has worked in the City since the early seventies and in 2006 qualified as a City of London guide. He has recently completed his sixtieth pub review for the City Guides' quarterly magazine and hopes to produce a guide to the City of London's pubs based on these articles. He will reveal, in case you were unaware, the crucial role a pub played in demolishing the City to enable Christopher Wren and others to set about improving it.
